May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. Then the land will yield its harvest and our God, our God will bless us. Psalm 67:5-6

Harvest time is a special time of year, for sure! Do you catch yourself being more grateful this time of year as opposed to the middle of winter? I know I sure do. But it is the trials and ground breaking work during the rest of the year that help you enjoy watching the fruits of your labor and of God blessing the very efforts He has called you to.
In September we were able to watch a rose bloom as we drove a former Participant out to Capenwray Bible School on Thetis Island, B.C. Her journey has been nothing short of a miracle. She overcame too many obstacles to mention and most of us would have crumbled under what she has been through. She is now starting a new chapter of her life at Bible School. It is not often we get to celebrate the success of one of our girls to this degree, but she has taken hold of her Savior, Jesus, and that is the key!
We are excited to announce that we are looking to fill two key positions here at Next Step Ministries this fall/winter. An Office Administrator and a Development & Volunteer Officer. If you are interested in learning more about these positions and applying, please visit the Employment Page on our website.
We are thrilled to invite you to the 17th Annual Music for a Winter Evening.

Mark your calendar now for December 6th at 7:30 p.m. at the Jack Singer Concert Hall for an evening featuring a musical and poetic performance of Songs and Sonnets by the talented Steve Bell and Malcolm Guite.

By supporting Music for a Winter evening, you are helping two deserving charities, Oxford House and Next Step Ministries give vulnerable women in our city a second chance.

We had a beautiful day for the annual Ride for Refuge that happened on October 30, and we were blown away by the number of riders/walkers that came out and incredible support that came in this year. Our goal was to raise $25,000 and it was exceeded with the grand total coming in at just over $30,000! This was an amazing team effort. THANK YOU to all our riders, supporters and organizers!
