God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. Hebrews 6:10
BAPTISM: BY JACKIE REIMER

God is at work in the lives of our women. How do we know that? When he prompts their heart to be baptized! One of our participants requested to be baptized over a month ago, but she felt she needed to go to drug treatment first. When she came back, we started chatting about it again and two other Participants overheard us and asked if they could be baptized as well!
It was too cold to be baptized outside, so we were able to go indoors and use a tank at Journey Church. The women blessed us all as they shared their heartfelt testimonies. During the baptism, one girl decided it would be funny to splash Phil and I when we were lifting her out of the water. That was a first!
We are having a 5 Year Birthday Party for our first house (Sparrow House) and you are invited! This will be an evening of celebrating the lives of the women who have found a safe place of refuge over the last 5 years.

Please mark your calendar and plan to attend on Thursday, November 15, which is the exact day we open the doors 5 years ago!

We will be sharing from the early days of NSM to the present. It really is a story of Gods grace and provision.

The celebration will be held at Journey Church 10307 Eamon Road NW, Calgary. Doors open at 6:30 PM, short program at 7:00 PM and food will follow. We promise we will be finished by 8:30 PM - Hope to see you there!

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone from the rider/walkers, sponsors and volunteers. The Ride was a huge success. We had 26 teams, 118 participants and we raised just over $31,000. You have made a difference in the lives of women exiting sexual exploitation and we could not have done it without you!
