Phil Reimer, Executive Director of Next Step Ministries (NSM), has announced his plan to retire effective June 30, 2021. As part of the transition, the Board is pleased to appoint former Board Chair and Pastor George McGregor as the Interim Executive Director.
“We are extremely appreciative to Phil for the critical role he had in co-founding Next Step Ministries in 2010 and its tremendous achievements over the past 10 years. NSM has grown from its humble roots into a respected and vibrant organization,” said Donna Hastings, Board Chair. “We want to thank Phil for his dedicated and outstanding service. He set the path for Calgary to move forward helping women exit sexual exploitation and discover their true identity.”
The Board is deeply grateful to Phil for his passion, enthusiasm, dedication, and founding leadership. The Board will miss Phil’s vision and compassion – but is confident that he will continue to be greatly used by God to further His kingdom, in the midst of retirement adventures and endeavors.
We are delighted that Jackie Reimer will continue to provide guidance and direction in her current role with NSM. The Board is keenly aware that God is at work and has incredible plans for this ministry. We look towards the future with joyful expectation, knowing that what God has begun He will faithfully complete.
