Shout Out to Our Supporters

THANK YOU! It is by God’s grace and people like you that have allowed us to continue to walk alongside women exiting sexual exploitation right through COVID-19. We have not slowed down and through some significant grants, we have actually been able to increase our outreach efforts during this time. Your donations of food, cloths, mask’s and finances have opened doors both to our alumni and to women that continue to be exploited in our city and beyond.
Trauma-Informed Counselling

Last month we asked for support during the Great Canadian Giving Challenge, even though we didn't win the challenge, because of your donations together with grants, we have been able to raise enough money to have a trauma-informed counsellor on staff. We have already seen the additional benefits as our participants, alumni, staff, live-ins have been able to take advantage of this. Thank you so much for making a difference.
Camp Evergreen
This month, we had the incredible opportunity to go on a three day camping trip to Camp Evergreen!  Our days were filled with horse back riding, canoeing, high ropes courses, laughing around the fire, and making unforgettable memories. Some of the women haven't been outside of city limits for years, or been to summer camp. It impacted them all, and they haven't stopped talking about it. Here is an amazing poster one of the women created of her memories from our camping adventure!
Ride for Refuge

Ride for Refuge is going to look different this year. but the event will be more inclusive that it has ever been before! The Ride is going virtual this year, they've added the Ride Freestyle option which allows you to chose an activity that you're passionate about to support women exiting sexual exploitation. You can make an impact by doing what you do best! Try hiking, kayaking, volunteering, crafting, or get creative! To check out some other fundraising ideas, click HERE.
