As summer comes to a close and we welcome the Fall, we want to share a few gatherings to mark on your calendar! We are excited for many opportunities to gather together this Fall and celebrate.

First, we hope you will join us on November 5th, 2022, for our first specially curated gala event since 2019! After the pause on our annual in-person events for 2020-2021, we are full of anticipation for the upcoming opportunities to gather.

Together, we’re awakening our city to the injustice of sexual exploitation and human trafficking. And as a result, we see more vulnerable people reached, victims identified and assisted, and survivors restored.

Thank you for helping us move the mission forward!
Her Next Chapter will bring together compassionate, influential members of the local community, including social agencies, businesses, churches, and cultural and philanthropic communities. We'll take the evening to acknowledge the chapters behind us and celebrate that we can fill the pages ahead together. You'll catch some encouraging entertainment, enjoy a late dinner, and hear from our special guests.
You'll hear the women we're privileged to support as they share powerful testimonies of breaking free from cycles of sexual exploitation. We invite you to listen— to stories of survival, perseverance, refuge, and the deep breath of new life.
We hope to offer you a unique, personal opportunity to see that it doesn't take a professional touch to write a word of healing or hope. Your handwriting in the margins of Her Next Chapter declares you an everyday change maker in the lives of vulnerable women in Calgary.

You're invited to join us for a night of connection and learning, to recenter ourselves together. Fall creates time for stepping back into routines, and enjoying some more crisp air, and we want to take the time to celebrate together and praise God for all that he has walked us through and all that is still yet to come.

The Kick-Off will be an info night where we connect with the wide NSM community and provide an opportunity to learn more about who we are and exciting new opportunities and initiatives. There is no cost for registration, but please let us know if you plan to come by registering below!

We hope to see you on September 12th at 7:00pm at Bridgeland Riverside Community Association!

Next Step Ministries honours and acknowledges the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. Next Step Ministries is situated on land adjacent to where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, and that the traditional Blackfoot name of this place is Moh’kins’tsis, which we now call the City of Calgary.
