December 2022 at Next Step Ministries

"I am amazed at my capability to create and make something beautiful. Thank you for being part of my change to healing and to beauty.

- Survivor & NSM Participant Quote

December is a busy month, and here at NSM, it comes with many waves of emotions. As 2022 comes to a close, we hope you will consider participating in an activity of impact with us! We've made a list of 5 ways to give back at NSM this Christmas season:

1. Shop NSMs Amazon Wishlist

We have put together an Amazon list with our greatest needs in each program. By purchasing items from our wishlist, you are directly giving towards supporting the operations and materials needed.

2. Shop For The Sparrows

Support survivors through home goods this Christmas! By purchasing gifts from For the Sparrows, you are supporting local, providing employment to survivors of sexual exploitation, and supporting Next Step Ministries all at once.

3. Did you know NSM can receive gifts of securities?

Gifts of securities go a long way! If you are planning to make a gift of security this year, make sure to complete your securities donations before December 16th for 2022 deadlines!

If you want to learn more about leaving NSM a security, reach out to George or make a gift here

4. Is Your Business Doing End of Year Giving?

If you are looking to provide an end-of-year gift to have a tax receipt on your 2022 taxes, donate before midnight on December 31st!

5. Join us at Carols and Cards!

Are you looking to spend your time giving back to our community? We would love to have you join us for a Christmas Party where we are wrapping presents for participants! Full details can be found below.
“Our organization has been supporting women impacted by Human Trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation, for over 12 years. Too often we felt like a lone voice battling this evil, however, we have been encourage over the last couple of years to see this issue coming to the forefront of government agendas. Now that this issue is being exposed, we can address it even though the battle will not be easy. Many powerful people make fortunes on the backs of what they consider a ‘throw away population’. This unfortunate problem is present in all of our communities, schools, businesses and churches. Making it a priority through awareness, adequate funding and accountability at the highest levels, will allow agencies like ours to provide support to those who are escaping the grips of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.” - George McGregor | Executive Director, Next Step Ministries
